I'm looking for a good resource to expand my limited knowledge of shaders. I am just curious if there is a good website or a book that I should look into.

Thanks, I have already looked over them though.

The MSDN link seems like more of a reference for someone who is already familiar with shaders.

The introduction to HLSL thread doesn't quite have the depth that I am looking for, although it is some good information in the right direction.

I guess I am more or less looking for some reading suggestions, I've looked on Amazon and found a few books but I was hoping for some feedback from this community specifically.

look on the wiki ^^ you'll find a really nice introduction to shaders tutorial that'll take you through ambient, diffuse, and then normal mapping.

it's a great starter, and then just look through the other wiki examples
