The Game Engine and its pros and cons as well as a list of editors and their pros and cons.
How exactly would this help me organize my game, other than showing other people what I am using? This paperwork is mostly for my own orginizational standards... but please, I would like to know your reasoning behind this doc.

Secondly, there is no listing of resources, people you could draw from for experience, ideas, jobs etc.
So basically a table of contents/work cited... good idea, and thanks.

Third, you need a development timeline if you are serious about using this route with probable checkpoints, milestones et all and reviews. Lastly, you need a budget ! Got to have a BUDGET!
These things are informally touched on in the pre-design worksheet, as well as talked about in the design doc. Again, as I said, my explination wasnt extreamly clear as to what exact information is contained in each document, but thank you!

It really depends for whom you are making the design document-- just for yourself? or to show to a producer/publisher?
This is purly for my own use, at this point. However, I would like to try and design this game the "right" way, so I am going through the full process. I am nowhere near publishing a "real" game . Thanks.
Again, thank you all for the suggestions, so far I have added a few more docs to the pile.
