Of course. There is a tutorial for this. There it is also explained how to use a shader for texturing the terrain (if you have 3DGS com or pro). I can't find the link at the moment, but I'll tell you when I found it.

hi and thanks very much. Yes, I'm speaing about "simple" import. I know that I must export with map format but....there's aproblem. I export the "testmap" of EarthScuptor in MAP format and then, when I import it in WED (MAP format), I obtain a message error...
c:\levels\test\test.map ERROR: invalid call line 38
!!!! ps. I've closed EarthSculptor before open the map in WED

The tutorial was from TheTommynator and used the shader from Loopix I think, but the link seems to be dead. Anyway I don't thuink that you should try to import the terrain over map format using WED, tis never worked for me...
Earthsculptor generates Heightmaps of the terrain when saving as .png images. For getting the terrain into med you have to convert the.png image with a graficsprogram into bmp pcx or tga and then import this image into med using import terrain from image option. Then you have to rescale the terrain as it probably will be shown to flat in med, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Try to export a heightmap from EarthSculptor and import it into MED. You might want to get the textures from the map and save those to a compatible GameStudio format. Don't think MED/WED can handle png files.
thanks but it doesn't work. I've converted all the png filse, and I've changed my level.map file with the new paths/filenames, but I always receive the same error! I'm choosing a terrain editor well supported by 3DGS but I think that it doesn't exists! With Freeworkd3D could I better import terrain? Money is not a problem (not too much! ).
thanks thank thanks!

Take the greyscale heightmap that is created by earthsculptor. The editor createa a .map file and several .png images (a shadowmap, a colourmap, a blendmap and a heightmap). The heightmap is the first png image without any extension at the filename. You need ONLY this file for the beginning. You convert this file to pcx or bmp. Then you open MED (not WED) and import the heightmap using import terrain from image. You have to choose the vertexamount for the terrain play around with this until you get the terrain in the right scale. Then you have to rescale the height of the terrain in MED if it doesn't look like it was in earthsculptor.

great!!! MED doesn't support heightmap TGA file, it imports with bmp! thanks! I promise to write a tutorial on this as just as soon as possibile, for newbies like me. Ok, now I've imported correctly the heightmap. And now, t import texture/water from testmap of >EarthSculptor?
thanks for your patience, your saints!
