Heres a stab in the dark, try deleting your WED config file or cut and paste it elswhere, then running Wed again to generate another (got to set your old preferences back)to see if that shakes off this prob.

or maybe reinstall again (your own files wont be touched but just back them up)

and lastly, check your paths for the sound files.
