Im working with a little scene and have come across a snag making my level. I've look through the manual and it gave me some hints but still striking out. Here are the steps I took, Im using GS 7. I made a house. I build a box, then hollowed for the house to fit into fairly square but larger of course. I aligned objects to the grid. I applied a sky texture, blue textures to walls and grass to ground. I try to compile and get a E003 and a concave warning, it will not build.

Could someone please direct me to instructions on how to properly build a level or add a 'skybox' or give me and the othes here a step by step? Much appreciated!

I had the same problem when I first got A7. I built a guick small level just to play with the new software and came up with the concave block error, even though I did not see it when I was putting together the level. Never did find a concave block. I deleted the level and so far I have not had a problem with any other builds. It is strange that I did not recieve any warnings until I compiled the level but I figured I did something wrong. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else, maybe A7 is being fickle? Like I said the problem has not come up again. The only way I know how to fix this is to find the concave block and change it.

you can use templates , just open the project manager, add script and choose the sky script , load any picture you like .

This is most likly due to not having the mesh settings correct. I managed to duplicate the problem and it occured only with my skyboxes and/or smooth turned on. In map properties the mesh size needs to be set to 0 or the build needs to be done with create mesh flag set. This seemed to fix the problem. Frederick_Lim gave a very good explanation of this in another thread. It does mention this in the manual under new features, however you need to make sure you have the 7.05 manual. I had the 7.04 manual which does not mention mesh size. It would be nice to see a tutorial or a discussion on what these mesh settings should be.

The default mesh setting of 1000 turns your hollow blocks into single, concave meshes. Then, it doesn't use Create Meshes by default so it gets confused. Maybe the "E003 - No blocks visible error" pops up because all blocks are combined to one mesh which is then concave and ignored?
