My models seem to be catching light from sources that aren't in my level. I have no sun and one static and one dynamic. I used to not have that problem. Maybe i am missing something simple.

I've found when I turn off the sun (via script) that I still get some kind of directional light of some kind. This was a few months ago, and I don't know if that was a bug and has been fixed or is a "feature" but maybe that's the same thing I experienced.

I have the same problem, I was testing shadow and dynamic light, result;

Shot at 2007-09-10

Verry strange shadow, because the light is directly above and in the center of the box. So I expected a shadow on the floor around the box and not only on the left.
There is no sun, only a little ambiant lighting (10,10,10).
And the light is also seen inside and in front of the box. (It penetrate through the walls)

I like to keep scripting simple, life is hard enough as it is.
Regards,
Frits

yeah early a6 didn't have that problem don't know where it snuck in exactly.

applying mat_shaded to the models is as close as i can get to way it was. I don't know if the new material and shader stuff has affected how they render now.
