Cool attemp and coming on nicely so I hope your getting the hang of low poly construction and as you say, its built for a particular aspect so the parts that need to be high detail are the upper torsoe and head and if its to be viewed from an RPG or 3rd person perspective it should be as such.
I like low poly but it doesnt give much options for versatility as each model is generally specific to thecharater it has to assume.
@ Mondivirtuali , you can select one half of the part your wanting to share a portion of the texture with, apply it then select the other half and mapp that onto the texture with its opposite after flipping it to fit.
Its quite versatile and helps create high definition looking skins.
