Some of the standard.wad textures animate when displayed in the Textures tab (e.g., the glow1, water1, water2, skyblue, skywhite, etc). I use the skywhite inside my sky box and it animates fine. However, when I try to animate a box cube with any of the waters, it doesn't animate. Any ideas why?

Thanks,

Steve

is the box cube a model or a map entity?

It has also mutated into other strains like, trip hop, house, rap, gangster, and conscious forms. Once you are infected with it, its with you for life."

A map entity (newbie, here). I selected Object | Add cube. That's the same technique I used to create the sky box. However, the sky box was hollowed so the texture is on the inside, versus the cube that has the texture on the outside.

When you apply animated textures like water1 to
your block or map entity, the Turbulence flag
(surface tab->flag) should check automatically,
then the texture should animate normally, if not,
try to check this flag, also in File->Map properties,
ensure the Mesh size is set to 0.

I set the cube to water again and made sure turbulance was set. It still didn't animate. I then changed Map Properties | Mesh Size to 0 (it was 1000). The "compile" time increase from about two minutes to more than an hour (at which point I gave up). Any other ideas?

Thanks!
