I dont think so msl_manni, what needs to be said needs to be said for the benefit of other new users too, instead, take the time to spare a thought to such posts and the benefits others who may be a little afraid to find there way around here can glean from them.
And as for being a MOD, FYI I resigned a few months ago but my name is still green.
THEN, its the duty I have undertaken to act whilst in the capacity of a MOD which needs to be done regardless of whether you like or dislike me.
As you said, I am a MOD, BUT I am also a USER so keep that in mind next time you disagree with my methods.
He deserved to be notified of the potential hassels he and others could find for themselves so that he would not need to unessesarily suffer for being himself.

There are standards we need to maintain on these boards and this is my interpretation of those standards msl_manni.

There are new users, which dont have even the basic knowledge about programming and software development, and yet they are wandering in this thick jungle of game development, thinking that they can find their way easily. At times I to find it very offending, the behaviour of these people and their ignorance about learning from other peoples helpings. But I ignore their posts and leave them on their own so that they know how to learn from their mistakes and try to find solutions from elsewhere. There is Help file, Aum magazine and if everything fails then they can ask for help. They should be seeking help and not be hoping that their every mistake is going to be solved by others.
Keep prowling and some of these might learn how to behave.
