Ah yeah - the two fish I mentioned look much better now...
But after downloading the free fish I have another thing to mention:
You use a sphere for the eye which is ok but go ahead and delete the faces that cannot be seen i.e. the part of the sphere that is "in" the fish. If you would do so I guess you could save at least 25% of your faces as the fish itself is more or less lowpoly. You also should try to "integrate" the eye into the model i.e. don't just throw a sphere on the fish but delete the faces of the sphere that you cannot see (like I just said) and then just connect fish and eye part so you don't have any faces "behind" the eye. This also should help in some shading situations as I'm sure you might get some strange lighting on it if using a on vertex-based lighting...
