What sort of level design tutorial are you planning??
There are so many things possible; from a tutor on how to place realistic windows with glass and stuff till complicated geometrics like rounding stairs and hallways, without draining to much FPS off course...
Level creation; includes texturing right? Again, what do you want to put in this tutor? A detailed street can be made in a million ways, so maybe it's better to make a tutor either on one specific topic concirning level creation or just to make a general tutor on this.....
I think that it's very useful to make a tutor about the general issues about level design. Exspecially beginners (that would partly include me too

) make mistakes with actually 'designing' a level. For example:
First try to think out a concept, maybe some draw some sketches (real simple off course) and think good about your level. Leave out what you don't need and some geometrics are better to fake with good textures sometimes.... For example the keyhole of a door doesn't need to be geometric made in WED...(unless you make some cutscene, making the player look tru it

Well I think that, unless some users have special request on level creation, I think it's better to do a more general tutorial; a bit deeper then the one in the manual though !!!
