Maybe we should stop talking about this topic. This is not a fanboy thread. We should come back to the engine-topic:
U3 is a great engine, can handle lots of details. It runs UT3 and Bioshock very well and fast. It even runs faster than some of the UT2004 levels because it simply fits better to current hardware.
UT3 could have used it better with better textures and less depth of field. But that is not the fault of the engine.
Many other games in the future will prove this.
id Tech 4 is also a good engine but mainly older than U3. The kernel of id-Tech 4 is about 3 years old. So it is easy to see that there must be a difference.
I hope we can keep it objective from now
