Wow, I didn't think I'd get as many replies for this.
I'll have to check out most of the games you guys posted (one by one

)
I'm really into anything, but I doubt anything will beat or even come close to Shenmue or FFVII (it feels strange, but these games had so much emotional attachment for me. I fell in love with the characters and that's how I feel all games should play). - When I first got into Gamestudio it was to make a Shenmue-type game, but it was too big a project for my first game, although it will always be my dream to make a similar game.
As for the gamees you recommended Error014; Ace Attorney and Hotel Dust. I have played both of them and I LOVE Hotel Dusk (a pretty impressive story) - I wish they'd make another (and I heard rumours that they may be doing).
I guess my search for the perfect game always comes down to what I was planning in my head for my own first game. I bet this is similar for everyone though. (Face it, everyone has dreams for games they'd like to make, but there becomes a time when we know we can't and so we settle for smaller projects

.. a few of us are lucky though and do manage to make these games...)
Keep the suggestions coming though guys, hopefully this topic might help other people in a similar situation.
