i was shocked by the graphical level of realism of cod4, especially the gunship mission. in case you dont know what a gunship is, thats a very big plane, flying very high with a lot of cannons against ground targets. here you see a real life video from the gunners view:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNYLZQ8l1eIi dont think this kind of realism should be called a "game"... what i realised when playing the demo was that the graphic is very close to reality, the setting also and matches current war environments - although the developers did not say this is iraq or afghanistan everyone knows for shure it is...
only the gameplay itself is very easy you have to kill lots and lots of enemies and its very easy to do so. you also have to kill unarmed guys wich is new to a first person shooter and you are rewarded with "cool trashtalk". kids playing this get a wrong idea what war means, learn that the english speaking guys are always the good (no matter what they do) and the arabs are always bad guys.
take the gunship mission for example, you cant tell me that in real life everyone down in a village is a terrorist! but in this game you have to kill dozens of people where you dont know what they are. there might be a mother running away with here children and you just shoot at the crowd cause your commander tells you to do so. then you hear "good kill" or the commander laughing about the people on the ground running away.
i really think this "game" has gone a step too far. instead of showing what war means, it glorifies it.
what do you think about this? please discuss...
