sorry for the OT but what makes you think this? is it just such a poor country that its not worth attacking? just out of curiosity..

a) Neutrality
b) Everyone's money is in our country. Nobody bombs his own posessions. Not even Hitler did attack us - maybe because he was threatened by our monstrous alpine bunkers, maybe because he needed us for his own dirty business.
c) Our army is, compared to our population, HUGE - everybody has to go the army, so here, most people have a SIG550 at home (we're no. 5 in the worldwide gun-per-person-ranking). Austria borrows our F/A-18's because they have no planes themselfes while we're already thinking about buying more modern ones.
d) As Mike said - we aren't a threat to anyone.
e) We're in the middle of Europe, and Europe should have learned what real war means thanks to some crazy germans they don't want another.
f) Most young people here don't like to go to the army. But once they're there, they find that it's something like a playground for adults and start to turn crazy. And you don't want to fight them!

And don't think that I'm a hardcore patriot and army-lover, it would be the best (and a lot cheaper) to make our army about 80% smaller imo. But my time there was still fun ^^
