its a combination of vertexbased outlining, edge detection based on the unlighted colors and some objectnormals based krickelkrackel

I havent looked at its code, how does it work because it seems like it would be fairly intesive on your gpu.

well, how could you, since the code isnt anywhere however i get between 80 and 400fps if i dont limit the framerate (which i do) so it is not that intensive.

On the screens it looks wonderful, but how does it look in motion.
I fear it will be a bit annoying because of permanent changes of the "krickelkrackel".
