The models and atmosphere are quite good but it seems that the shaders aren't fully working but I doubt my GPU has got anything to do with that But like you said, alot of work needs to be done and this makes me curious to see how you guys there in Texas are going to compete this ^^

Cheers

alot of you have trouble with it so i made this bideo displaying the level. hopefully it will appeal to you. video

i shoul probably mention my system configuration.
im on a windows vista home premium
AMD athlon 64X2 dual core processor 4000+ 2.11ghz
Nvidia Ge-force 8400gs

i used the r2t plugin in the alpha test so that couldbe a factor. i hould check to make sure that rt2.dll is in the zip
EDIT: i just checked. it wasnt there so now try and downlaod it again and see if it works better

ah the website is quite simple designed, which is exactly my taste
a bit text and a bit more visual information....

the video player works fine for me.

thanks for the comments. um to see your fps...just download fraps. it should display your frame rate...which i think in some areas it dips down to as low as 8 or 10...but the standard runtime fps in the game is like 20 working on that...

The dll isn't working, the effects aren't yet properly displayed
Btw, fraps isn't a good way to display fsp since it mostly reduces the frames itself while capturing

Cheers

fraps doesn't turn down the framerate too much when running idly and showing the fps in the top, if you aren't recording, it's actually more accurate than 3DGS' fps counter .

on a side note, i noticed that you had lots of plants on screen....i really don't recommend having all those visible, try making a fade out code depending on their distance to the camera, and when they fade completely out, have them invisible, that way it doesn't render them, although they are in memory it takes the same amount of framerate as if those were the only plants in the level. also, try to do the same for trees, and also try disabling the normal mapping if you are far from the trees and plants as well, and if you are using A6, i don't recommend many shaders at all...just materials, because A6's rendering with shaders on many models will throw up lungs it's not a good idea, if you use shaders try using some FFP shaders because they won't compile the shader every frame, i've noticed that A6 has a problem with that, but if you are using A7 i'm not sure what to tell you about shaders, i haven't played around with A7.

hope that was some help and good luck on your project
