Yup, you are 100% right about that. It's a shame though, on one hand progress can't go fast enough in my opinion, on the other hand it's already hard to keep up. I guess that's the irony of progress.

Frank is right about the graphics aspect too, there aren't many games I have bought that did not have reasonably okey graphics or at least looked polished and finished. It doesn't always have to be next-gen (awful buzzword ) for me to enjoy a game, but more often than not great games also have decent graphics, I have to add though that there are still a lot of games that are good despite having mediocre graphics. Unfortunately for most games it's graphics first, then gameplay and that will often result in broken games with fancy graphics because they ran out of budget..
