i am not sure but i think most of this can already be achieved with pro. with pro you can disable the starter window so couldn't you do without acknex.wdf and create a starter window yourself? i am no expert on this but if you do a search and replace in acknex.lib ("acknex" -> "engine") then maybe your custom exe will look for engine.dll. it's worth a try. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Just open acknex.exe with a hex editor and search for "acknex.dll". Then replace it with "engine.dll" and acknex.exe will look for "engine.dll" ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

@Fastlane
I read both of your posts and you are absolutely right on what you are talking about, which may come also from your experience on that stuff. There are several reasons why you want to do this and why not (and I did'nt wanted to start an argue here that exceeded its bounds too early). I just asked if this is possible or possible to add as features.
I am a bit biased in certain areas of Gamestudio - that is true and I like my nerdyness ^^. I even have the backbone to say "its made with Gamestudio", because I don't "click together" and all that stuff, but I experienced often passive or even strict denial when it comes to negotiations or talks about putting an application.
I can not cloak the product I use -I know-, but I don't want to miss a chance when I send demos to some potential clients, other developers in my network or potential -future- employers. I hope you understand that.

I understand completely. Which is why I endorse your efforts but I still don't think that it will get the results you want.... that clients, developers, and employers will figure out the parentage of your game if it's relevant no matter what you do or dismiss any issue with the engine outright if it's not relevant! Ideally, you want to deal with the latter people instead of the former ones. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Besides, if a person is going to dismiss your works because they have a bias against the engine you are using, wouldn't you want to know that up front instead of going through several rounds of negotiation and then getting dismissed because of the engine?
Again Heel, I'm not here trying to poo-poo on your request but merely impress upon you that IMO wiping 3DGS from the records is not going to get clients and deals that you otherwise would have lost because you were upfront with the name. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

I think this was about people dismissing at first hand by looking at the icon, recognise 3dgs, and never try the demo. If they tried, their opinion probably changed, but they didn't, so you got a lost oportunity. At least I can understand that that could happen.
IMO, if you can't create your own exe icon, it IS a littlebit... unproffessional.
