Lite-C is fine, C-Script has it's limitations and flaws - thus the repalcement by Lite-C. I'm quite impressed by the way Lite-C goes and I like it. As it offers all the stuff C-Script offered without really getting more difficult and also allows to go deep into C programming it's a very good solution for a broad audience - plus you can always use the engine DLL in your favorite programming language and not touch Lite-C/C-Script at all.

Some people are experiencing long compiling times with bigger projects, but last time they seemed to work on that issue. I haven't had those troubles yet (only small test projects so far), so I don't really know more about it.
