Although I keep hearing how their burn rate is higher than they can keep up, I meant nothing by it. I have no idea how GG is doing business wise but it just strikes me as odd that Jay, who was the most visible figurehead for GG, would leave if things were going well.

Sounds like an all too common scenerio in todays game industry:

1) Person makes game engine...
2) ...Uses the Indie community to support it, test it, use it, get publicity for it...
3) ...as soon as Big Money becomes a possibility, Indie community is left behind.
