The A7 plugin interface is downwards compatible, so all A6 plugins also work with A7 unless they are using particular rendering features that rely on the engine being A6.

Do you mean it will be available in the next A7.08.1b beta? Could only find a adlllib.dev in A6.60 release.

Lib source should already be included with latest release. I have seen some files, but haven't tried building an .a file yet. Have to find out how this is done first

Have a static DVD with all release between A6.31.4 and A7.08b, but only A6.60 contains a project for Dev-CPP. If I try to reimp the current adll.lib (A7.08b) to create a adll.a lib and use that with MinGW it produces this export error message.

To add. The adll.a lib from A6.60 works with Dev-CPP, but I guess it is outdated?

I'm also using an old .a file. It works for my stuff, but it might be outdated, yes.

Ok since it is outdated, how can it be updated again? In another post jcl mentioned that it is "now" possible to compile your own adll.a lib. I tried the way described in the manual, but it presented the export error, pointed out in my previous reply.

There is no Dev-CPP project in A7 public and beta releases after A6.60 Commercial. Maybe I need to use the project from A6.60 and copy adll.lib and all header files from the current plugin SDK to the old Dev-CPP project, and then compile again?

We don't use Dev cpp and thus can't create .a or .dev files for you. I also can't answer specific questions about Dev Cpp.

But all source is included in the A7 SDK, so you can use it with any compiler. It's possible that some compilers require some tweaking - I don't know, but you need to know your compiler of course. If you can't make sense out of Dev Cpp error messages, maybe there are some users who can on the higher languages forum.
