I have 7.07 commercial version and I’m running vista ultimate 64 and only found one thing that doesn’t work and can’t find a work around for it. In MED the apply vertices button stays grayed out and won’t work. I had put Game Studio on my windows xp computer to trouble shoot and the apply vertices works fine. The only other suggestion would be to allow the behaviour labels in WED to be longer so you can read the options. This is not a problem that I need help or an answer to, just wanted to let you know. Excellent job so far, keep up the good work and thanks for making such an easy interface to work in.

Try the following: Delete the med.cfg file from the Gamestudio folder, and then start MED again and check if it then works.

Recently a user had informed me of a faulty med.cfg file that caused his MED to behave wrong, so maybe that's also the reason here.

I deleted the med.cfg file and still doesn’t work. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Game Studio still the same. I know that the 64 bit version of vista has trouble with some 32 bit programs where some of the program works and other parts don’t. So I’m thinking that may be the problem. Thanks

No, Vista 64 bit can't be the problem. Are you sure you activated Bones Mode in the toolbar, and selected a bone?

I'll check later today under which conditions vertices can not be assigned, and will post some more suggestions.

I used the apply vertices successfully on my windows xp computer, just to make sure I was doing things right before I put this on the bug hunt. I tried a lot of different combinations in the properties compatibility mode and found no joy. I also tried many combinations with my display and direct x options. It’s beyond me what the problem is but I’ll keep trying when I have time. Thanks

There is indeed something wrong with vertex assignment. We have not yet fully determined the reason of the problem, but this will be fixed in the next version.
