I have a problem with the dot3 exanmple..i implementd the code exactly as shown in the example...and the bumpmap shows up fine.. however.. the actual color skin for the model is not visible at all.. any one know how to correct this?

If you used the latest beta version this is caused by a bug that inverts model normals and with this creates wrong bump maps. This should be solved in the next beta release.

ahh.. yeah that is prolly it.. casue also the lighting appeard reversed as well..
is there some way to reverse the normals in code?

Since JCL stated in another thread that the next release will maybe even be within this week I don't think that it's worth the effort. I think you should be able to flip normals with a vertex shader but I'm no expert on this sort of things (at least not yet ).

could someone enlighten me hear, i'm a little confused on this bump map thing, i thought one had to be a beta tester, inorder to use the example,if not how did you get it to work because all i get is errors.

i take it you been using gds for a long time then,what confuses me is everyone register in the forum,sense they updated new forum, everyone who has been around for a few years,got deleted and had to re_register as newbies,then i see post like your's and i say to myself, only register a week or two and they are beta testers.then i wonder did i miss and updated. ok thanks for the info.
