There is a great Site called "Klick3d". It may not include the newest stuff (last update was January 2007) but you can find an interessting List. -> Klick3d
Nice list, thx Hmmm...alternatives, like gamestudio are rare. But one thing i don't understand. What are the differents between engins( cry-engine, c4....) and gamstudio ? What engins don't have in comparison to gamstudio ?

ShiVa/Ston3D always worth a look. get your completely free and fully functional PLE today and feel free to play around with it. if you want to publish, it's yours for 199€, so well within the 3dgs price range.
plus, it's multiplatform, develop games for windows, mac, and soon linux and even iPhone in one go, no code customisation needed.
Hmmm, engins are powerfull but is very difficult too make a game. Softwares like gamestudio are not so complex but is much easier to program a game. Is this right ?
@broozar This shiva is a engine or a gamemaker like gamnestudio?

GameCore and DX Studio are well worth a look. They don't come with a modeller program but with free modeller like Modtool or Blender you don't really need one.
ShiVa is an AllInOne-solution like gamestudio, but it has no model editor, so you are bound to external model editors that can export to fbx or collada. chek tehir wiki for compatibility.
@daz: gamecore is about to release v2, i strongly recommend to wait for v2 as it has a whole new bunch of stunning features. and if you're a lightwave user, gameCore (formerly beyond virtual) is THE way to go, as it imports lwo directly.
Ok, ShiVa seems not so easy to me and i don't have found any (free and optimally german) tutorials. It's only my first impression or is gamestudio realy realy easy to use in comparison to other software like Shiva ? I must say that i'm still a beginner in programming/game-designing.
