ModerMaus
Hi All... It's been ages since the team and I have posted anything. So I've decided to show the fruits of our 2 year project. Our demo was submitted in sept. to the IGF competition in California and we anxiously wait to find out if we've got hope for the finals... on that note... ModerMaus is a 3rd Animal Action Adventure game. Our goal is to create a game with humor similar to "the simpsons" "south park" etc for budget title commercial release... we should have a 4 level demo up in late Nov... any comments are greatly appreciated! thanks - Jim (lead developer) Lethal Strike Interactive LLC

Hi, looks really good. Nice nintendo style. Just two questions: Why has the game a German name? And what is the story? Why has the Mouse such a backpack? Very good work Mfg EX Citer

I've to say, that the first Screen dont match into the collection. number 2,3 and 4 got a clear concept in case of levelgeo and textures, but the first one, i dont know, looks kind of chaotic, the too colorful textures and the contrasts between the several textures dont create such an harmonic picture than in the other images. i would leave the first level! or make some improvements... pherhaps simply take a little color out of it.... (grey stones, not pink ones) only some critisism from my side... therefor the new showcase was created...

So how did the contest go, or is this the national IGF taking place in March ?
What's the status of the 4 level demo ?

Hi, Wow, I did never thought that this game is so cruel. The mice get this machine screwed into the brain. Reminds me to Turok (Cerebral bore) but there was it really funny because it was very very unrealistic. So are these mice are just toys, or real laboratory mice? And did you meant mörder maus (killer mouse (mäuse = mice)), or moder maus (rotten mouse) (möder = never heard of (a name? Good Mooorning, I am Mr. Möder the funny Köder, now get me cat))? MfG EX

Hi FastLane, thanks so much for the comment! we unfortunatly did not make the IGF, but it was an extremely interesting experience, which will offer any developer a dose of reality! as all of us know... it's easy to give an idea, even work up a concept... but to actually try to make money with it, and build a legitimate game (even in the value publishing market) is extremely tough. We have been working on our title for over a year now, had two beta tests to beat the product into oblivion, and still we are managing to push forward. The most amazing part of the whole process has been the shear size of our game content, models, textures, etc.... One day you look at all of it and say "HOW did this get to 1.2gigs ?" We really hope your right! we want to get our game into stores through channels like valusoft or global star. We hope our game can bring creativity back into the $10 dollar game... rather than most of the stuff in that range that floods the current market. If your interested in all of our exploits I would be honored to share them! The peaks and the Downfalls.. if you love what you do than it's all a positive learning experience. cheers, - Jim Ingraham
