Adventure In Pocia - Download!
Now that the contest is over, it is finally time to release Adventure in Pocia, or POC as it's more often called. Sadly it didn't place, or even get a mention in the contest, but it was a lot of fun to enter. For those that don't know or remember, POC is a point-n-click adventure style game. The star of the game is just your average stickman who happens to be lost in the jungle. After stumbling into a village for help, he finds himself caught up in the local crisis, and ultimately saving the village from its dispare. uhh theres a statue?
Visit the guy in the village that is too grumpy to talk to you. Later, after you go fishing and get the coin (or so) visit him again. He will apologize for being upset and give you a note to give to his friend (if you accept). Go to the ruins where another stick person is. Talk to the stick figure and your character will give them the note. That stick figure will return to the village. When they move you will see they were standing in front of a small statue.

i'd like to click a point and the figure walks there... thats the only negative aspect i could find:)
I wanted that as well. I worked a lot on it, but I'm just not good with pathfinding. Sure I could have left it so that the player walks directly to where you click, but it just didn't look as nice as I wanted. I wanted the player to follow around the paths to the destination, but just couldn't get it working perfectly before the contest deadline.

Well now i did it, and my comments are: Fantastic, these Piranhas(or watherver) in the ruins were very hard to evade. This is a game ive waited for!

Hi, Just to get my two cents in ... The game looks absolutely great! Very professional work (e.g. it seems to me you painted the terrain shadows... or how's it called, is that 'baking' ? don't know, nontheless it looks quite good!) and nice use of fog! What I definitely liked best is the trees they look ... well, brilliant! Now I was wondering... could you maybe grant me permission to use this tree model in my RPG-project? That would be so0o great 'cause we simply can't get our trees to look good Anyway, it would be nice if you could contact me via ICQ (see signature) concerning this!

I've been here for much longer than most people think. So where's my "Expert" status?
