I would like to add a question as well:
Is it possible to create a game with non-distant attacks like sword or fist fighting?
What about defensive techniques - can I add something like a shield that protects me from attacking e.g. when I press right mouse?
Thank you very much for providing such amazing technology.

Hi Frank and Teutonic, Quote:
1.) Will your AI have to work with A6's Template_6 or will stand alone or A5 templates work?
The AI has now been merged with IntenseX, which is a full game construction tool, taking you from beginning to the end, without any coding. It doesn't need any templates 6 or 5 to run, but someone may wanna use them if the IntenseX features don't cover him. There's basically two ways of installing IntenseX, one for beginners, and one for advanced users who program their own stuff.
Beginners 1. Select New IntenseX Project from the Project Manager in Wed. 2. Customize Wed panels to put your game together. 3. Optionally use Templates 6 (or 5?), or code your own, if there's a feature you miss.(I'm trying my best to make this step obsolete, but i can't include everything everyone needs..)
Advanced users 1. Edit your current project's main wdl and add "include <IntenseX.wdl>;". 2. When you run your project, it will NOT be affected in ANY way. It will run like it always did, like IntenseX doesn't exist(i'm not forcing some shooter player HUD to your project for example, since it might well be an Adventure game. 3. Play with Customizable wed panels, to add/remove IntenseX features, and set them to your own needs. 4. Modify/add to the existing IntenseX code.
Here's what a wed panel will look like in IntenseX. Me and Brad just finished making those...

2.)Will the video Resolution requirment be lowered? Personally I prefer 800 x 600.
Yes, you can use any resolution that A6 supports. I'll try to have a new Mother's Den version ready supporting all resolutions sometime soon..
Quote:
3.) Will keys be configurable or at least will your provide movement by Arrow keys as an alternative to WASD. I prefer the arrow keys and really dislike WASD.
You can configure all player input from wed panels. Nothing's hard-coded actually, so every single thing that you may have seen in the Mother's Den demo, from the sprites used for the blood effects and muzzle flazzes, to the number of shots of the uzi burst fire, are all configurable through wed.

The Mother's den demo includes some fist fighting as well as a crowbar weapon, and a weird gauntlet blade one.. To use yours fists, press 1. Then go straight ahead(missing the first right turn you see with the agents talking), take a left and keep following those turns. You'll find a crowbar in your way, and there's also a pissed off scientist in that room that will charge at you with his fists(unless he founds a weapon lying around). You can get the weird gauntlet blade weapon, from a Strafe's(red monster) dead body.
Shields, i have not included, so that would be one of the things you'll need to add on your own. Hopefully, i'll have some time for that in a future update.
Cheers, Aris
