Hi, The Zoo Race game project is done. I just have to get the game web-site made now. Hi Orange Brat, I hired Dan to make the bengal TIGER and also half of the "Tamar's Turf" level and he did great. Thanks Dan. Compared to ACTIVISION'S Shrek Game Hey guys guess what? THE ZOO RACE is being compared to SHREK SMASH n CRASH at the link below! Hey cool huh?  Yes?!?!?!? Wow. The Strategy Informer So, hey that Shrek title was made by ACTIVISION !!!  Woo, Hoo ! Competing against the big boys now!   MOVE OVER ACTIVISION !!! Yeah, THE ZOO RACE is here!!! And Cain the Cougar is happy now.

That is cool. Always nice to have a comparison to a widespread well known game  I did a quick mock-up of a few graphical improvements I would be willing to add to your game for very cheap, heres what it would approximately look like:  of course the reflection would be much more accurate, I had to flip the image in the picture so its a little inaccurate as to what the real results would be, reflections would be realtime, the terrain texture would be better formed but I honestly think with a few small updates this game could be kicked easily into a decent graphic game, but to be frank, you seem a bit in denial about the lack of up to date visuals.

No, not in denial and I agree with you.
Okay, well let me share something with you guys.
I did already hire somebody else on this forum to add in multi-textured terrains months ago and
it had a low frame rate. I had great looking terrains, but had the frame rate to be 10 fps.
Yes, so 10 fps is not acceptable in a racing game.
You can see this same multi-textured terrain in the CREATURE PARTY scene right now.
Just click on "Creature Party" on the main menu and look at the terrain there.
If you have shaders 2 or higher it will appear.
The creature party scene is a simple "One Room" level.
Doesn't that multi-textured terrain look great in the creature party?
Anyways, I kept the multi-textured terrain for the PARTY, but removed it from the race, because of low frame rates.
The target low-end PC here is 1.6 GHz or higher.
Remember, this game is not a simple small room scene.
And it's not a twisty turn type of race that tests your fingers and keyboards ability either.
The racetracks are big enough to race in for a full 3 minutes or till the song ends.
When we have added "Multi-textured Terrains" previously over large terrains, then the frame rate dies, okay? lol
I tried it already. It looks great, but low frame rates happen on 1.6 GHz machines.

Okay here! Introducing --> Multi-textured Terrains ! <only visible if you have shaders 2 or higher> The creature party scene:  and   And then once they walk into the ark, then I get rid of the terrain! The camera is inside, so I remove the terrain to help the frame rate and spotlights in the party. But, at one time I had this terrain in the race and the frame rate died, so I removed it. Oh well, just to share with you guys.
