Hi, my name is Jay Young. I am an animator/artist. or at least was before I was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer. I used to work in the industry but my condition does not make me a viable employee anymore. I was awarded disability so I volunteer at a local college teaching game design.

My class is making a game. The game is quite simple (think Mario Kart and Twisted Metal)

The class is a Digital Media Arts class so the students are a bunch of artists and they are just learning but I am trying to make up the slack so this can be a good looking game.

We do NOT have a lot of time left (June 18th) but I did have a dedicated programmer up to this point so we are not starting from nothing but we need help!

The current programmer is looking for a full time job now and cannot put as much time into the programming anymore. We need a one or a few programmers to volunteer some of their time to make this game a reality.

Once the engine is done, I plan to introduce some minor programming into the course next year, so the next class can do some graphic improvements with the code if they want but the emphasis for this class is making the art. I seemed to bite off more than we can chew with this game but once it is done this year, we will have it for future years.

Compensation is getting your name in a completed game's credits, you can tout the fact you aided in a not-for-profit school game, I can do some models for you (after the school year), and I am seeing about getting some money from the school to pay you something.

You can reply here or send me an email at jay@mutantcel.com Either way I will get back to you quite promptly.

Oh the image Here is a car I made for testing the engine only! Sony I would appreciate it if you do not sue me.
