DEXON Knight DEMO! - DEXSOFT-GAMES.COM

We are finally close to finish our newest game DEXON Knight.
Here is a 3 levels DEMO, not official and without too much testing, so we will need a much help from any of you who eventualy starts to like game.
Just contact us on dex@dexsoft-games.com and we will provide you complete BETA game for testing.
Unrar game and run dexon.exe file.
Be informed that game is for small kids (5+) so maybe it will be too easy for you.

I also want to thank all of you from this forum who helped me a lot in this huge project, especially Shashank Dixit (known as Zazang in this forum) my main programmer, because without his briliancy this project would be abandoned long time ago.
Many thanks to David Lancaster too, who programmed huge part of the game, and George Pirvu also. Damocles also had his part in code, so guys thank you all again. Most of levels are made by Miguel Benitez, Lennart Hillen and Nadester. Music is made by Samuel Anjam. And of course great models from Andvari and Frank.
If I forgot someone please contact me to write in Credits because this is only first demo.

The game impresses with a clean professional look.
Beside that I like the voice acting very much!

A bug that I found by accident can be reconstructed in the following way:
- start the first level, go to the dragon, wait until he speaks, then press escape, choose the second level, and start it
- the camera stays in the wall, it can turn around, when pressing the right and left arrow keys, the character turns around, too, but you can't go forward or backward.

ok, i've played it, and my only complaint is that it looks and plays like an axys ripoff...

Yes it looks like Axys, because originally it was my idea at the first place and David was my main programmer. Then he asked me can he use my code (which he programmed) to make his own game with very simmilar gameplay and I alowwed him, why not. I dont see any damage here.
I am very sutisfied becuse kids simply love it. I have 2 little girls who helped me a lot in testings and they play it all day. And thats is enough for me. Game will be soon on shelves in 5 EU countries with initial number of 2-3000 copies.
The reason for big dellay on release is simply lack of time. I have published more than 50 titles in 5 EU countries and I am doing all by myself.
Game will have 10 levels and I already have ready next 10 levels for DEXON2, so it will be sucsess I am sure.
Frank and me are planing to make DEXON in some better engine because we have a huge problems with 3DGS and very slow workflow. Maybe will go with TGEA or unity

Again thank you all for sending me feedbacks, they are helping us a lot.
Invite for beta testing complete game is still open so please any of you contact me.
Thnx

I would like to show you some more images of the game but the images don't show up. The forum software shows the source only:

Strange. Maybe we can show some images tomorrow. So stay tuned until then.

Regards

Edit: Probably this will not work in the gallery forum section. We have to make a new post then in the projects section.

Hi Dex!

I play`d this demo and the first look is very nice. But on the second look i found not really good thinks:

1. It is a small boy and the voice of him is from an old men.
2. The ingame music is better for a telephone line, orchestral music what mutch better for my taste.
3. The sound samples have a lound noise, please denoise this samples, or better change it with better sounds.
4. The accent is not really english or us style. He comes from the balcan i think.

When you don`t have a better soundartis, i can rework all samples is a higher quality. But please at first change the ingame music.

But the kind of game is nice. Good luck with this game!

Edit: here a sound example. A snore by myselfe with no noise inside: snore. You can take it if you want. But only you, not other people no read this.

Thank you I will clear some effects thats sure. I have perfect noise clear software so i can do that. Thnx
About music it is only subjetive to all listeners. I like this music a lot so I will not change it. For acting I hired a real PRO acting services and I dont have problems (if) he have some akcent. Game will not be sold in USA so if have some akcent it will not be such a big pain.
Also game will be localized in all countries so english will be just a bonus for them.
But anyway, thank you for your suggestions. I will clear noices and unify, normalize sound level. It was always last step in a game, so we still have time to do that.

ah, that makes perfect sense. I will say one thing, those are some nice models, and the game looks good.
