I figure I would use gamestudio as a starting point for my FPS i want to make and I was wondering if I could use the models I make from it...eg Guns, People, Objects.
also what is a good enviorment tool i hear blender but the poly count tends to be real high.
blender isn't just good for rendering. milkshape and fragmotion may be enough for some people but applications like blender for sure are much more powerful and the amount of polygons solely depends on you.
Ok, good cause I already had modeled a riot shotgun and a smith and weson magnum. Im trying to learn some about FPS design and Skining..I'm ok at skining.
i use blender a lot, for modeling in low-poly as for for rendering. great tool. i worked with 3ds max for several years and find it a good tool, but very expensive. my favourite at the moment is xsi. brilliant programm with a very good pricing-model.
All of tool mentioned above r good,but i would say u stick 2 milkshape.Right now im using houdini,maya and 3dgs.Maya is the best especialy now when u have 3dgs 2 maya and opposit (well u have it for 3dsm but i never worked with it)but i had sam problems with default render in maya and editing emviroment solved only jalf of problem so i swaped 2 houdini witch is superb tool 2.
ok, its just goin to be a new task making my people become someone cause i only have front views/drawing and its hard for me to think in a 3d space when making people.
weapons i seem to be ok if i dont try to get overly complex and a lot of parts.
