Yes it would be initially but once you get the hang of them, things will flow very rapidly after that.

Just keep asking in the right forums for any parts you havnt got to grips with yet, I did and help wont be far away.

My first 10 odd games were pure crap but thanks to the templates at the time, I was able to soldier on and learn heaps.
