Good point Bupaje. I think I have a descent enough storyline, but I'm not good enough to make breathtaking effects. I also want to know how to make cinematics so I can tell the story like a professional game but I don't have the slightest clue on how to do cinematics.

A substitution for cinematics is to just
use a slideshow of painted - (or Photocollage) Grafix with written or spoken commantation.
(in Baldurs Gate 2 and Fallout Tactics)

Much easyer to do than a render-movie, and sometimes even
more interesting.

Also, how do I make a next button, like when you are trying to creat the art thing instead of cinematics, i want a next button and you click and it brings you to the next part. and then the last next button puts you in the game?

Hi , my opinion for a good game :
1-st place is the game play! If it is interesting enough it can distract you from the texturing , details & all other stuff that the person wont like. Maby adding some cans that can be shooted at,some glasses to break. If it is a 3-rd person , a good camera control , like Dungeon Siege...
2-nd is the story line. Some say short , other say long... A good story line isnt the shortest or the longest! Its the interesting one. It should have a conflict , like Diablo , when he returns to destroy the human kind , or like Freelancer , where the main character has to find out what happened with Freeport-7 & Why because it blows up in the beggining. And many other games...
3-rd is the graphics. With a good graphics you can acomplish something very close to reality if you have an eye for it.The graphics is at 1-st place if your game play isnt good enough. A good graphics can cover a small part of the story line too , if the story line isnt very interesting. The graphics form the atmosphere in the game , so if your story line isnt so good (Like in Alien Vs. Predator...just walking around & shooting aliens , and more and more of them come) but you want your game to be scarry(like Alien Vs. Predator) just make the levels & textures the way they should be to look scarry

Well , hope this helps , my opinion

All points make a good game.

Beautifull shader-grafik, professional models, panels and sprites, simple handling, but great story are neccessary for really good games. Always give your best!

I think multiple choices that effect the storyline and ingenuity, to be very unusual yet intriguing and has a goal that drives you to play more.

Like the best all time Game I have ever played was Final Fantasy VI Same as the Final Fantasy III that was shipped outside of Japan. In Japan it is Final Fantasy VI.

The characters had great personalities and they each had a goal. You got to make choices throughout the plot and could find secret characters and I really love an evil guy with a diabolical sense of humor and meanness.

With the graphics (SNES Quality) I still play it today.
