Hello,
i tried to add a bump map to my view entity (in MED "Effect setup") but when i start the engine, the entity can't be seen on the screen! (without the bump mapping, it works) When i put the entity in the level without assigning an action, it works perfect...
where is the problem?

I ->>> guess <<<- this is because view entities are rendered in view space rather than in world space. So the shader might need some special tweaking. Have you tried assigning this shader to a normal entity in your level?


Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...

I think you can adress this in the same way as a post processing effect.
We normally apply post processing effects to views only because the pixels are manipulated thus I think bump mapping will not be possible in this matters as bump mapping needs both vertex and pixel manipulation.
AFAIK, effects which process vertices can't be applied towards view entities ;\) ;\)
