If this is mostly for retail then I'm not that bothered, I'll be using download systems and bypass retail (IE Streamworks).
If you look at NPD numbers; retail (Windows games) don't sell that well anymore, but I don't think this is the true picture downloads may not be accounted for!.
These are my thoughts as well... I don't get why having that sticker would make ANY difference for the majority of the community right now.
For one, 3DGS games are not predominatly retail (at least not in the US) so the sticker might be used by one or two people EVER in the next 5 years.
For second, having the sticker doesn't make the game better or worse, just complient to some engineers standards; hardly a payoff for any effort.
For third and for most important, when have YOU ever, as a consumer, NOT bought a game because it DIND'T have that sticker? When did you buy the game only BECAUSE it had that label? Exactly! Zero influence on buying as far as I'm concerned.
better work on all those shiny new features
