i have gamestudio a6 commercial, and had it installed on another computer. i just got a windows vista, and installed gamestudio, but when i extracted my key zipped files into my gamestudio folder, nothing happens and im still left with the trial version.
Are you sure the key is in your Gamestudio folder? In older Windows Versions the "Program Files" folder was translated into the system language, e.g. "Programme". In Windows Vista, the Windows explorer shows "Programme" (in a German O.S.), but the real name is in each language "Program Files". So the self-extracting zip-archive could have been extracted it into the wrong folder
remove copy protection from the 3dgs folder, and execute the updater as admin (right click-> run as admin). if nothing works, simply copy all 3dgs files in /bin, /template, /plugins and the root 3dgs folder on your new computer, simply overwrite the old ones.
