Hi i have 2 files in the code for a level, called level1.c and creation.c respectively. level1.c is the main file.

creation.c is the a part of the original code level1.c which was huge and had a lot of repetitive but necessary code so i decided to paste it in a separate file. The creation.c file is in the root folder of my game.

Now i tried using the following line in level1.c

#include <creation.c>

When i run level1.c it says include file 'creation.c' not found, even though it is in my root folder. There is no spelling or letter-case error, i've triple checked. Why is it unable to detect it?

Also i've recently started getting an error 'main file not found, check preferences'. Alt-F5 fixes this but i didn't have this error until a week ago and i've coded many script files before that. It automatically used to change the main file. Now i have to do it manually. It's ok but can something have gone wrong with the software that's causing this?
