- Condemned (either 1 or 2, where 2 has better finishing moves...)
- Soldier of Fortune!!!
- and to some extent, carmageddon...

I personally would only welcome such a game.
But one thing. Please don´t make it real.
I like more the feeling like cruising cool around, listening
to cool slow rock´n roll (only a little bit in the background) and then shooting some motherfckers head to shit. Just make it cool and easy but not real.

it is so cool... A7 has now in the beta version the " ent_decal " feature. So you can make cool blood sprays with gory wounds, broken limbs and a lot of splatter effects.
I love this feature and can´t wait to test it out.
I will make a hardcore splatter game in the future too.

I don't mind a good blood and gore everynow and then but you have to know when to much is enough otherwise as Paul L pointed out that the player will get bored of the same thing over and over again. I personally think that this whole gore thing is just an "add-on", the viewer will be looking for good gameplay and how realistic it looks (mainly gameplay if your a real gamer :P) so go with those things then go back and put the "add-ons" in.

there was a game called "Splatterhouse" back in the end-80`s.

For a few days I was reading in a GameNews that there is a new
version in Development.

A few nice looking screenshots showed a lot of "decals" and "particles";-)

I sometimes like this brainless " durch's Level schnetzeln ".

I personal think that games like manhunt are no typical
splatter games. They only show kills in a very strange and hard way. I associate with splatter games or movies more works like "brain dead" or "evil dead".
Splatter is something like zombie hordes or 1000 gallons of blood in one human body... more the unreal way.

If I see those manhunt compilations, I hardly believe that this game could make fun. I do not bore myself by watching these hard scenes. But this is truely far away from a cool splatter game. It´s the same like watching war tapes or beheading movies. Just not want to consume it. But it is not boring.

Sometimes it's funny to have splatter in game (i'm also playing an MMORPG that is really bloody and gross) but i somehow prefer funny shooter or shooters with a great story and feeling.

For the great story and feeling like shooter, i would recommand "Prey". It was a great game, especially with all the teleport stuff. Another one is Half Life 1+2, with both great stories.

I love to play Team Fortress 2 and i own a german version without any blood. Sure there are blood patches but, come on, i love it so much more to see flying ducks and cheeseburgers when the enemies die, instead of blood. It's so funnier than blood

Depends if the enemy are ugly mutated monsters (as in prey) or normal humans :p. Loads of blood and ugly monsters is fun, but not really "brutal". Humans and lots of blood is what I concider "brutal", but not fun. Example: HALO1, I had no problems shooting elites and grunts with shotguns against the wall with blue and purple blood splatters everywhere, but if a fellow marine accidentily got killed, I just had to start over again at the last respawn point . (yes, it took me a looong time to fully finish legendary-mode ). But I am one of few who actually cares
