Depends if the enemy are ugly mutated monsters (as in prey) or normal humans :p. Loads of blood and ugly monsters is fun, but not really "brutal". Humans and lots of blood is what I concider "brutal", but not fun. Example: HALO1, I had no problems shooting elites and grunts with shotguns against the wall with blue and purple blood splatters everywhere, but if a fellow marine accidentily got killed, I just had to start over again at the last respawn point . (yes, it took me a looong time to fully finish legendary-mode ). But I am one of few who actually cares
