I've been working wiht maya for a few years now and I have a few characters that I can use in my game. I don't think I can recreate them in med because I spent a while on them.

Is there a way I can transfer my maya characters into game studio's model editor?

Hiya.

What version of GameStudio are you using? If you are using 7, you can export as .fbx and have the model, texture, bones(?) and animations go over...or so I'm told. I don't use Maya anymore (last version I used consistently was v4 I think).

If you are using GameStudio 6, I think you'll have to export as either .x or .3ds. You'll loose pretty much everything but model and texture if you go .3ds...and when I tried to use .x, it kept my animations but screwed up the bone placement. Weird.

Does the Wiki have anything on this?
