I been reading these magazine's and the workshop is c-script.
So basicly when i read them i find it easy and clear, but soon as i try write my own script from fresh i start getting problems, becuase im writing in c-lite instead.

I just used the help file to convert my whole script back to c-script and i understand it and runs the same.

Should i use C-Script or C-Lite?
what is best for a newbie to programing ,what's your opinion's?

C-Lite no doubt
Just try a little bit harder
C-Script is really lacking some key features, for example the for and switch istruction which are of common use in game programming
Not to mention the structure
Actually I am eagerly waiting for the c# wrapper

For a total newbie IMHO I would not rush into C-lite, go with C-script and then once making sure you are comfortable with the basic principles of if, while and functions, upgrade your knowledge by looking at the added functionality of C-lite.
There you can start using for and switch but you will understand WHY they are used once you understand the limitations of C-script and how they become essential to your project as it grows.

Hopefully you should then have no problem converting C-script examples into C-Lite.

Good luck.

@DJBMASTER: Nope its still Lite-C (not C-Lite)

@FireArm:
I would recommend you to look into Lite-C aswell.
However if you have problems you might follow TigerTao's advice, as C-Script is a very little bit easier.
But Lite-C is definatly the best choice.

Definitely lite-C. Its a little easier to learn in my opinion, has a great tutorial, can do a lot more, and for a beginner it does not make much sense to learn the old C-Script that will sooner or later be abandoned anyway from Gamestudio.

I also found Lite-C a lot easier to learn than C-Script, because Lite-C does not have the restrictions of C-Script that you have to remember. Go with Lite-C!

c-script is easier to learn and handle, you also have a lot of code examples for it in previous projects. for a beginner its the best choice
