the white ea screen comes on for a second or two and then the whole program just dumps out of memory and I am left staring at my desktop with no error message of any kind.

I never even had a chance to put my unlock code in, so im pretty clueless, thats why i feel a little like i had to pay 10 dollars to be their beta tester.
