I have created a 3d landscape for a racing game. but now a friend who writes the code for this project said it's easier to make a collision detection with a highmap instead of a model. so is there a possibiltiy to transform a model into a highmap? I need only to transform the street and the area around the street.
if there is no possibility to transform it with the 3d gamestudio (and i think so) is there a possibilty with other programms? i have tested to export the model from the 3d gamestudio in blender where i exportet it to .raw file.this file i imported in terragen but i think it was the wrong raw file because i doesn't work...
please help, i don't want to create the hole landscape again and i hate to design highmaps because i'm better in modelling. my highmaps are often looking very strange...
