I only know one way, but you still need 3dsmax.
First you export the model, than import.
In 3dsmax choose in the menu RENDER and RENDER IN TEXTURE give the parameters some values and choose from the list HIGHMAP.
click render and you get a black and white imagefile of the terrain that you can save. wink
