darkjavas, if you already have a model from TurboSquid, then you already have what you asked for. I do a fair bit of modelling, and mostly give 'em away, but if you already have one and just need to skin it, then skin it! If it needs animating, animate it!

the picture you provided looks like the character was just created from a bunch of primitives, and given a colorful skin. That's basic geometry. You are more likely to get the colors, look and animation streams that you want if you do it yourself. The first model is the hardest, and recommend that you try it and finish it, then model something else, and then come back to it to tweak it.

For my first model in MED, I imported a small 3DS model, and built a copy right next to the original. This allowed me to see how someone much more skilled than I am did it, and also optimize it for my needs. When it was "finished" it looked a lot like the original. Then I deleted the original, and saved my copy.

Later, after working on a couple of other models in a similar fashion, I came back to my first model, and built it again, right beside my "original". This time I understood why certain polygons were concentrated at the joints, what details could be added or deleted without destroying the form, etc. Eventually I was satisfied with the look and feel of the model.

Don't be afraid to play with your toyz! Get in there and mess around. When you think that you are failing, you are learning to succeed.

Peace, and may your god be with you. Or beside you. Or at least close at hand...
