but right now, wii is the gayest console i've had

Huh? What? (Thanks for the sorry, though, but I'm not a Wii-console, so I'm not personally offended)

Not that it even has much to do with the topic at hand. But while I'm at it, since when has it become fashionable to call things "gay" when actually "bad" is meant?

People, those words don't have the same meaning, no matter how hard you try.

Okay, rant follows.

I mean, sure, I know this is the internet. I know that this is the huge place where basically anything goes and twelve-year-olds can use all the words they like. I know that its fashionable to call things "gay" (when the word actually wouldn't be appropiate) But here? This forum? frown
What did I miss? What happened?

Alright, so I just know that there might be an angry reply - or maybe not an angry, but then a pointless one (as in: "who cares", or "wayne", or, if we get lucky, a variant of the above using a picture of a cat*) - I can literally hear the clicking sounds of your keyboards. Yes, I know its just a word, but words carry meaning, and while I'm aware that those meanings change over time, and there might be little point trying to stop said development, I still think that its insanely stupid to use a word that has a perfectly fine, clear, mostly neutral meaning (I say "mostly neutral" because intonation can change a lot of things) into something negative, which, over time, only serves to turn the word ("gay", in our case, if you forgot) into something "offensive", but since the word still carries over its original meaning, it puts the original meaning in a bad light.

So, yeah. Whatever. I'm just wondering here. Maybe I'm overthinking this. Or maybe I missed it, and you're all discussing the sexual preferences of the iphone, as well as the Wii, although i must admit that I wouldn't be as embarassed about missing the point of such a discussion. (I'm now bascially secretly waiting for all you guys assuring me that they weren't serious at all, or maybe to "chill out" or to "relax".)

As far as the Wii goes... You missed out on some great games that came out after you sold it, Dennis - I'm definately very happy that I got mine. If the games aren't up your alley, then thats okay, though. That doesn't make the console bad in a general sense, but on a personal level, it might very well be.

However, we all truly know that you're just very afraid of losing in Smash Bros or Mario Kart. Hah, didn't see that one coming, huh?

DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO GET THIS REPLY SOMEWHAT ONTOPIC: Uhm, iphone, yay.

*- this post basically describes the entire internet in a nutshell

Perhaps this post will get me points for originality at least.

Check out Dungeon Deities! It's amazing and will make you happy, successful and almost certainly more attractive! It might be true!
