Just another unfinshed game of mine. It's a 3rd person shooter mainly inspirated by Advent Rising game...

Using Vertex Shader V 1.0 for the Cell Shading Effect...


Dual targeting system, LMB for left hand, RMB for right hand, each will lock on enemy when held down...


Jump & shoot, or jumping while shooting...


Do a backflip as you dodge enemy's bullets


Changed the detail map for the terrain



And added some objects... Phew...That's a lot of screens...

Well, for someone who is supposedly new at 3dgs you have some very nice looking projects.

As far as this game goes - definitely get rid of the terrain textures and use a multi texture shader instead. But besides that it looks like it has some cool gameplay elements and playing as little red riding hood is pretty funny!

Hopefully you decide to continue with this project as it has potential.

it looks quite good. as cartoon baboons said use multitexture shader, ASAP. otherwise it looks really cool.

can you post a short video of that project just to see movements and animation of those characters and effects?

Seems really good.

YEs , use more detailled textures , and less flashy, the terrain doesn't need cartoon textures, just take a look
at team fortress 2.

Looks like a FUN project smile smile
The backflip is a nice feature thus a plus point for the gameplay aspect wink wink

But there is also an aspect that should get improved asap which would probably be the terrain. Higher resolution via detail map (grayscale image) in combo with a multiterrain texture shader (like cartoon_baboon mentioned already) can make the whole thing look way more plausible.

But IDK if that is your initial intention since shell shading is actually basic coloring with no blending of colors at all AFAIK.
But I guess that's up for you to decide ^^
