We have alot more than this, if you read the post, we have alot of stuff that is secret that we are not revealing, until we are ready so that the idea is not stolen. And as i said unless you have any creative critiscm please dont post.

"I guess maybe I'm still a whore, just not that kind." lmao I agree with those videos 100% and that is really good advice. Blade, my team and I are probably standing exactly where you are. We have a complete website (not as polished as yours but it doesn't need to be), we have a finished story and plat, we have tones of documentation on gameplay mechanics and possible means of implantation, we have working prototypes of levels mechanics and graphics, and we have background music. But you don't see us posting in Showcase do you? True, I posted in projects about two years ago (back then it was Showcase I), however I was looking for input on some early levels and code, not advertising my game. And yes I do have a completed Asteroids clone under my belt, as well as the usual uncompleted stuff. Most of the time I simply jumped aboard a team as an artist and then suddenly they would disband without informing me! Not saying that'll be you just stating why Ihave so many unfinished projects. I think you guys are getting way ahead of yourselves. True, we are probably equally ambitious, and have the same likelihood of failure. But if there is one ambition I want to see through it's that we want to simulate real life firearm maneuverability, which alone is a huge ambition as there is a reason why most shooters don't bother doing this. We have alot more than this, if you read the post, we have alot of stuff that is secret that we are not revealing, until we are ready so that the idea is not stolen. And as i said unless you have any creative critiscm please dont post. Why not wait until that stuff is ready to be revealed before posting in Showcase? All I see is some stuff made in Animation Master, not a game.

TBH, i dont really care if you dont think we are ready , sorry to say, but we know where we are at and we all believe that we are ready. As i previously said we would like creative critiscm, not people saying that we are not ready , and we shouldnt post ,and even implying that we will fail. Edit : If you think we don't have much to show , what about the other threads here, e.g. http://www.coniserver.net/ubb7/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showgallery&Number=219353#commentsWhich has 3 screens, and nothing else. And X-Warz (or whatever)

There is a brief overview of the story on the spearbang site, and more information. I will post the full story when i have permission from spear(who is currently unavaible) And the reason there is a limted amount of detail on gameplay is because , the death and combat system is very unique and we can't reveal it, as it will most likely be stolen.

That's unavoidable bro, besides it would take years for developers to come out with a game that steals it anyway. Plus people are too busy copying off the latest AAA title that the mags say are triple a titles. A great example is the awesome cover system from Killswitch. It was so unique and ahead of its time that it took other developers a few years before it was cloned. The first I could think of is the new Sython Filter games for PSP, they copy off it exactly. And believe it or not GTA4 stole it too, however they did a horrible job with it. I do agree it's a good too wait til the last second to reveal a unique system, however if it is a selling point for your game don't wait too long. Also if someone else does eventually steal it, you should be honored that they were inspired by your game and you may have raised the standard, especially if it's a good name publisher. Also people will point and say "Those guys did it first!"
