i am quite pleased with fraps (and yes i bought it... it's really worth it). i tried taksi once, but found it neither very stable nor faster. but that was quite some time ago, maybe it has improved, i can't really tell. however, fraps does not "suck".
I bought it as well, it's very much worth it.
as for RedHood:
It looks like it has potential. The animations themselves look pretty good, but you need to have the animations blend from one to another rather than clicking. Other than that the model looks good
